Yes, bots should be killed but MOST of the time they are sweatshop workers and not computer code. I used to 55 altrumm ruins (best place to fill up your fur in mat storage not to mention saphs drop there for some reason) and followed a straight path to exit ... IE I looked like a bot. Knowing there were misinformed people always looking for a bot to report I took to emoting before exiting (thinking there arent too many ranked bots or sweatshop workers You people act as if you have never clicked on the xulani in LA from across map and hugged your way over.

Anet's Jihad against the "Chinese farmer" is warped understandable to a degree but warped (they are pissed someone is making money of their product). What I don't understand is why so many of you have a problem with (insert ethnic name) getting his/her bowl of rice to eat. If you are so upset then solve world poverty and hunger the things that drive sweatshops. Anet nerfing an area doesn't get rid of the sweatshop people they just move to another farm. When Anet nerfs WE are the ones that pay.
BINGO. BINGO.

Gaile, please read this guy's post because its 100% true. Just because someone CAN solo something, doesn't mean it has to be fixed. You're never going to stop it and all you end up doing is messing up honest player's good times. For some of us, farming termites is a great way to catch up on a gold account that is running behind.

By nerfing the honest players way of making money, you do more harm than good by encouraging them to buy gold.

Nahh, playing trough the elona storyline makes one rich I got 40K from beginner's island only.

Problem is that when you use a farming character, that character gets almost no drops at all (When I beat NF with my warrior (Who farmed vermins), I only had about 15K.

My newly made elementalist has 40K already on newbie island

You just dont have to spend cash, and if you want to buy something small, farm for it. Just make borderlines (like 'I will not go below 50K'), and when you get a valueble drop, increase that borderline (100K).

When I have 103K, I only spend 3K, and only when needed.

Now, my borderline is at 600K. Can't go below that, unless I can buy 1000 ecto's for 100K :P

I suppose that would change PvP quite a bit.. but in the "next 10 attacks", i was thinking along the lines of stopping a spike (only 8 spots in a party max). My bad >_>

Why nerf skills for? It changes pvp totally for a pve issue. Why not just have a pve fix? Put interrupters and enchant busters (mesmers and necros) in a few mobs and the problem should be done pretty well. It would have minimal effect on a full pve party of 8 (real people/henches/heroes) and may cause some trouble to a solo human farmer. But the solo human farmer should be able to figure a way around it easy enough (or at least go to a different area). At the least it would be harder to bot.

IMO

Farming companies are not going to use solo builds. That would be asinine because of the difficulty. They would set up 8 pc's and send groups out. If I could make twice as much group farming verses solo, it wouldn't take much time to pay off the extra investment. It would be far easier and more profitable to bot 4 damage dealers and 4 monks spamming easy skills and kill everything in an area. Maybe back before nerfs solo was good, but now, I cant see anyone doing it any other way. The timing needed in the skill sets to solo is nearly impossible to duplicate in a bot and they would need constant supervision.

My bet is all the sweat shops go in groups and botters do as well. Still get all the drops. Probably better. I've seen more white dyes, etc. drop in group runs than in solo runs.
